Niclas Larsson

Niclas Larsson grew up in his mother's hair salon, flipping through celebrity magazines. A Swedish child actor turned director, now based in New York, he brings wry humour to human stories where the surreal sneaks into everyday tension.

His work mixes character-driven humour with a subtle darkness that has become a hallmark of Scandinavian cinema. From his short films with Vogue, ‘Magic Diner’ I & II, to his feature debut, ‘Mother Couch’, Niclas has a distinct approach that he carries across to his commercial work for brands such as Volvo, Mercedes-Benz and Lufthansa.
