Biography
Marcus Ibanez has a cinematic style that is as intimate as it is ambitious. With a background in photography and design, the Swedish director’s approach to storytelling is instinctive yet precise, finding a delicate balance between warmth and restraint.
His film "Moments That Never Happen" for the Volvo EX90, shot by cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, imagines a woman's entire future in one vital second. A poignant meditation on the moments that define a life, the film went on to win at Cannes Lions that year.
