Birth of Oshun

Jonas Bang is a Danish director with a playful style, marked by an incredible eye for detail, from cinematic style to an incredible ear for music. His work spans commercials, shorts and music videos for brands including Mercedes-Benz, IKEA and Bang & Olufsen, as well as artists such as MØ, Trentemøller and Iceage.

His short Birth of Oshun, co-directed with American painter Harmonia Rosales for Vogue Scandinavia, was nominated for Best Art Film at the 2023 Young Directors Award at the Cannes Film Festival. Jonas also directs renowned 16mm live videos for Denmark’s Brodie Sessions, collaborating with artists including Finneas, Nils Frahm, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Adrianne Lenker and Alice Phoebe Lou.
