Behind Closed Doors

Libby Burke Wilde is an award-winning director and photographer based in Manchester. Motivated by a deep curiosity for people and the worlds they inhabit, her work spans narrative commercials, documentaries, and short films, translating complex human stories into intimate portraits.

Her series of short films for the BBC takes a true documentary approach, featuring real people in their own homes and everyday environments, showcasing Libby’s innate ability to find the emotion in small, recognisable moments. Other recent works include ‘Early Twenties’, a cinematic interpretation of artist Cat Burns' coming-of-age album, exploring mental health, friendship, queer love, and loneliness, with a cast including India Amarteifio, Sam Reuben, and BAFTA-nominated Samuel Bottomley.
