Casper Balslev is a Danish film director whose style blends the authenticity of documentary with cinematic storytelling, drawing on his experience in photojournalism, documentary, fashion, and street photography.

He has directed commercials for brands including Mercedes, Volkswagen, LEGO, and Carlsberg, as well as projects for the Royal Danish Theatre, Postnord, and broadcasters such as TV2 Denmark and DR Drama.

His work has earned international accolades, including Cannes Lions in Craft and a Eurobest Gold. Beyond advertising, he has directed music videos for artists including Alt-J, IGGY POP, MØ, Marina & The Diamonds, and Seinabo Sey. His short films have screened at international festivals, and his feature documentary Elena’s Inner Fire was selected for CPH:DOX in 2022.
